Compliance

Compliance certificates for tenders in Nigeria.

PenCom, NSITF and ITF: the three employer certificates most Nigerian tenders ask for. Plus the FIRS TCC and CAC annual return that complete many bid packages. Upload from your phone, pay once, and a vetted partner firm files each one.

The statutory trio

Why three certificates, and why all three matter.

Public tenders and many vendor registrations ask for proof that an employer is up to date on all three schemes. A missing certificate can disqualify a bid.

Compliance certificates run out every year.

PenCom, NSITF and ITF certificates usually cover a calendar year, so a certificate from January 2025 is out of date for a tender closing in February 2026. Start well before your bid deadline so there is time to clear any outstanding contributions. If we delivered your certificate, we email you about two weeks before the next one is due.

Questions

Common questions about compliance certificates.

Which compliance certificates do I need for a Nigerian government tender?

Most federal and state public tenders ask for the trio: PenCom, NSITF and ITF compliance certificates. Many also ask for a current tax clearance certificate (TCC) from the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), formerly FIRS, and an up-to-date CAC annual return. You can start all five on Docufy and run them side by side.

How long does the PenCom compliance certificate take?

The PenCom page shows its target time in business days before you start. PenCom sets the final pace, and the partner firm follows up. You can follow every step on your phone.

Can I get NSITF and ITF certificates at the same time?

Yes. Each is its own filing, so you can start both and run them side by side. Have your employee schedule and remittance receipts ready, because both ask for them.

What if my company has never filed with PenCom or NSITF?

You need to register and pay any outstanding contributions before a certificate can be issued. Sort that out first, then start the compliance filing. Email [email protected] if you are not sure where you stand.

Do I need a CAC annual return to bid for tenders?

Many public-sector tender checklists ask for a current CAC annual return, or proof that the company is active on the CAC register. It is not a compliance certificate, but bid packages often treat it like one. You can file it on Docufy alongside the trio.

File your compliance certificates before the tender deadline.

Start each certificate on your phone and run them side by side. Each one arrives as a PDF with a verify link you can attach to a bid.
